After watching this year’s Warren Miller film “Children of Winter”, I am more than ready to hit the mountains! The annual film featured a variety of breathtaking and scenic places all around the world to play in the snow: Alaska, Vermont, Austria, Utah, Sun Valley, Steamboat, Leadville, Oregon, Crested Butte, Japan, Vancouver, and Iceland. I was especially excited when I saw the footage at Crested Butte. I was there during that huge snowstorm that brought on the most powder ever!
Hard core skiers and snowboarders have all been waiting for the annual Warren Miller film to stoke them up for the season. If you haven’t heard of Warren Miller, now is the time to see why - the world's largest action sports film, which is set to music by Radiohead, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Beck, and others, is shown in crystal-clear high definition. The film tour crisscrosses the nation and nine countries worldwide. I got an advance copy of “Children of Winter” and had a pre-release party to watch it and get a few reactions as to some favorite parts:
Don’t miss out the spectacular footage with jaw-dropping performances by an impressive assembly of world-class athletes, including Jonny Moseley, Daron Rahlves, Marco Sullivan, Seth Wescott, Gerry Lopez, and Wendy Fisher. Boulder and Denver premieres are just around the corner:
