Christine Spehar is an activist and freelance writer. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California, but has professed her undying love for Colorado.

Christine moved from Boulder to California to spearhead work on RuckusRoots, her emerging youth advocacy organization that meshes interactive art and music with eco-activism. RuckusRoots is ARTIVISM, a mobile, musical mash-up that inspires collaborative thought and progressive eco-action in today's youth. RuckusRoots travels to festivals, campuses, concerts and other youth events nationwide, creating positive pandemonium and infectious enthusiasm for art and advocacy wherever it goes!

After a busy summer touring the national festival circuit, registering voters leading up to the November elections, RuckusRoots is now focusing on program development and fundraising, with sights set on a comprehensive Earth-week event at the University of Wisconsin in April!
